Vegan topping for pasta bake

Hi
I have made a sausage and mushroom sauce for pasta tonight and would like to make it into a bake.
Has anyone got a tried and tested vegan topping for a bake?

Just to make things more complicated I'm gluten free but can usually adapt.

I saw one online that was suggesting an engivita (which i have) flavoured bechamel sauce. Which might work.

I don't have any vegan cheese in and would rather avoid it in this recipe.

I’d be tempted to make some garlic bread and turn it into breadcrumbs. Bake with that on top

Yes i had noticed a few options of a garlic crumb instead.

I do have a gluten free baguette actually. Which i might make into a garlic bread.

Thank you

Got any leftover crisps? That adds a nice crunch.

Nutritional yeast flakes mixed with breadcrumbs gives a cheesey tasting healthy crunchy topping.

Thanks everyone. These are great ideas.

I ended up doing a fairly thick bechamel sauce with yeast flakes and a little garlic salt. Then baked it in the oven.

It was really delicious.

I'll keep these ideas for next time.
