Do these measurements sound right?

According to a measurements chart I looked at 10g of dried thyme would be about 4 tablespoons and 5g of ground black pepper would be just under 2 teaspoons. Is this right? Seems like a lot. I don't have any electronic scales for small measurements btw.

That does seem a lot. I wonder if it should be 5ml (1 teaspoon) and 10ml (2 teaspoon) instead of grams.

But if you add up the weight of the other ingredients it comes to 1kg so it could be right.

Sometimes if an ingredient amount sounds off I google similar recipes to see how much they use!

I chickened out of using the recipe amounts in the end and put in four teaspoons of dried thyme and one teaspoon of ground black pepper which seemed to work quite well. One other thing... the amount of filling was far too much for the amount of pre-rolled pastry. I'd say you could cut the filling down by around a fifth.

I must admit these days I generally only try new dishes that I find online where lots of reviewers have already said they workSmile
Did it taste good?

Very nice, especially with some ketchup to dip them in. Conned my son into eating one and he hates mushrooms. He was none the wiser. I guess by the time it was cooked it had that stuffing type taste and consistency so the mushrooms were reasonably disguised although I could tell they were there.

I've saved the recipe and will try it out. I love mushrooms but most ready made mushroom pies are too over the top. The polenta to bind it all together is interesting. Might pinch that idea for other fillings too!

Like I said, either have a little extra pastry or a little less filling.
