Dd3 has a CMPA and we have to go dairy free.

I’m finding it hard to find things for her As she wants what her dB and ds have. I think in the end we all will be going dairy free.

But things like biscuits, cheese and yogurts (her main vice!) I’m struggling with.

She loves oatly and we love the alpro yogurts but she isn’t sure about them.

Help please 😩

Tesco do free from fromage frais for chimdren, which dc3 prefers to any other. They come in packs of four (strawberry raspberry or banana apricot).
He also likes the alpro custard pots (cupboard not fridge)

Mcvities light digestives are dairy free, but not the full sugar ones.
Most rich tea biscuits are ok, as are gingerbread men type.

DD isn't needing to be dairy free now but she was for about 5 years.

I found that Bourbon biscuits are dairy free.

I actually really like the Alpro soya yogurts and custard puddings.

Swiss Glace ice cream is also very nice. Most places just sell vanilla but Waitrose sometimes has strawberry too.

Coconut puddings and ice creams are also good.

I've never found a decent cheese replacement sadly. That was something I really missed.

Fig roll biscuits are also dairy free and high in calcium.

Lidl do coconut milk based yoghurts in little pots - plain, blueberry, and strawberry flavours.

Tesco’s vegan fromage frais goes down well here and violife cheese, it’s like old fashioned plastic kids cheese. Coconut collaborative yoghurt pouches and their chocolate desserts are also popular and Nush do dairy free ‘frubes’.

Vegan magnums keep us in ice cream along with Ben and Jerry’s dairy free and plain Vanilla Swedish glace. Our biscuit tin is filled with Organix oat biscuits, party rings, bourbons and Oreos.

There are also plenty of dairy free treats like cupcakes, doughnuts etc if you know where to look.

These are delicious- 4 different flavours and a good source of calcium. We still buy them now even though we no longer need to be totally dairy free. They're not in the fridge part of shops but on the free from shelf in supermarkets.

Ooops just saw they were already mentioned by embarrassedabout further up thread. Sorry. They are really good though - worthy of a double mention!

My 3 year old loves the Tesco free from yogurts. They come in 4 packs of either banana and apricot, or raspberry and strawberry. She will not touch alpro or any other soya yogurt. She also loves the Tesco grated cheese in the free from section, but again won't touch any other kind of cheese substitute. Kids are awkward Grin

If it's a cmpa allergy then can she have goats and sheep's milk? If it's dairy as in cow...

My daughter can - so we use Tesco hard goats cheese and pecorino which is like Parmesan but made from sheep's milk

That covers cheese! We also really like the alpro soya desserts linked above they are like custard

Flora buttery is dairy free so I bake with that and make cupcakes, scones and cookies.

If you go to the free from section in any supermarket you can get biscuits and snacks. We really like the plain tortilla chips from Asda - big bag about 45p.

Party rings did someone mention those? And fruit, lots of fruit! The free from orange and cranberry cookies from Asda are lovely as are the choc chip ones from Tesco. They taste like Maryland cookies

I'll be heading to Lidl for the yoghurt recommendations thank you!

Tesco stock a frozen cheese pizza from Kirsty Kitchen, my 5 year old is really fussy about cheese, he has never had real cheese, doesn't like the alternatives but likes this pizza. Tesco's frozen free from section is good, he gets chicken kievs and a few other bits so he can eat the 'same' as his sister.

He loves the vegan Magnums as a treat and I discovered last week that most lidls in store bakeries now do egg milk and soya free doughnuts (the pink and yellow ones) but check as not all bakeries have changed over and I didn't use the tongs as felt that was a cross contamination risk.
