Dds having a party at the weekend and one of the dcs parents have contacted to say their dc is vegan.

Venue is happy to cater so thats fine but what vegan treats can i pop in the party bag please?

Also dds cake is not vegan freindly so is there a shop bought alternative i can pop in instead of birthday cake.

Excuse my ignorance but i dont want this dc to miss out so any help of suggestions would be greatfully recieved

I haven't got much advice to offer you, but you sound like a lovely woman Flowers

Vegan is very tricky to accurately cater for so be becareful not to confuse items suitable for vegetarians. How about popping into a natural/healthfood shop and asking to see their vegan range. You may be able to pick up small pretty soaps, toiletries, small packs of biscuits/sweets/cakes that are suitable for vegans.

Jelly Tots, Skittles, Swizzels Love Hearts & a lot of hard lollies like chupa chups are fine :)

Are you on Instagram? If so, have a look at accidentallyveganuk - it's a really handy list of treats that aren't necessarily aimed at the vegan market, but just so happen to be vegan. You could pop them in every bag.

SilverHairedCat · 24/09/2018 14:51

M&s do vegan percy pigs sweets and other little treats I think.

You've had some good suggestions already!

You can get vegan rocky road and other treats like that in the free from section of quite a few supermarkets. Could be an alternative to cake and it's quite easy to get hold of.

Also I know quite a few of the flavours of candy kittens are vegan, obviously you'd have to check this. Sainsburys also used to sell a vegan strawberry fudge in their sweets section in our local store, I havent checked this recently but my son used to really like this. It came in a small resealable light green packet.

Loads of options in supermarkets, all have their own brand 'free from' chocolate and sweets. Tesco are pretty good. Or have a look on Vegan Town website, lots to choose on there!
