If you go to Tesco the free from section has a load to choose from! I'd recommend Oatly 'cream' but I think alpro also does one. In the fridge free from section :)

I also think Hartleys jelly a lot of them are vegan but I'm not 100% just check the ingredients for Gelatine

Thanks. My Tesco’s only seems to do single cream and non veggie jelly. It is not even a small Tesco’s.

Have you tried a health food shop.
Maybe the world food section in a big supermarket has halal vegan jelly.

If they do the sparkly jelly I think that one is vegan?

Whipping cream is difficult - I know a lot of people use coconut cream (the stuff at the top of the can) but I was never that impressed with that. Can you just do custard instead?

When I had to go non-dairy I remember struggling with this- couldn't find anything that would whip.

Asian shops have halal jelly which I have always thought to be vegetable based gelatine but it's better to double check.

There is a soy squirty cream that comes in an aerosol can - sorry didn't check the link above so it's probably that one.

I saw something recently that Sainsbury's are now stocking it so try looking online.

As to jelly I can't help with that but then I also grew up having my mum's trifle that never had jelly in it anyway (and it was always really tasty Smile

Yes the best cream substitute is soya. You can whip up medium or soft tofu with maple syrup, spices etc. and it makes a lovely thick cream.

I use the soyatoo whipped cream for trifle. Hard to get hold of right now though. Holland and Barrett sell vegan jelly.

Thanks everyone.
