Instant coffee / soya milk combo that won't curdle

Hi! Can anyone help me find an instant coffee / soya milk combo that will not curdle?

We normally make proper (ground) coffee on the stove (which doesn't curdle) but are expecting a new baby plus a lot of visitors throughout December ..... and I need an easy option/something guests can help themselves to.

I shop in Tescos mainly.... Willing to try any coffee/milk/combination that won't curdle. Thanks!

I find the fresh (not long life) Alpro doesn't curdle nearly as often. Or swop to almond milk? That never does.

Ah thanks that's great. I meant to say willing to use other plant milks.... The thing is, I've made non vegans drinks with almond milk in bedore and they took one sip and left them.... Didn't seem to go down well. Whereas with soya milk everyone says "wow this tastes just like a normal coffee".....

I know that both the acidity of the coffee and the additives in the milk can be factors.

Thanks for your advice :)

If you look online you can buy barista soya milk or oat milk, I find the regular stuff curdles less if the coffee isn't mad hot... but that's a pain to do

Oatly barista is really good. I drink way more hot drinks since I started buying it!

cakeymccakington · 28/11/2017 22:14

I normally use almond milk which is fine as long as the coffee isn't too hot.

Oatly barista is good too (and more "milky")

Bea1985 · 29/11/2017 06:51

Thanks I'll give the oatley barista a go!

Oat milk is fab. I'm not vegan, but I honestly like the taste.

I love the oatly milk and drink a lot of fresh coffee but it's equally nice in instant. The trick is to not use boiling hot water

SugarButterFlour · 29/11/2017 07:06

Another one for Oatly Barista Smile

We use just normal Tesco everyday value unsweetened soya milk in our tea all the time and never find it curdles... I think the key is to putting it in when the water / coffee / tea isn’t absolutely boiling hot.

It's likely to curdle if you only put in a little soya milk. So leave room in the cup for a fair bit of milk.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 13/12/2017 13:28

Oat.

Soya always curdles.

Newbietwo · 13/12/2017 13:36

I had to drink oat milk for a while due to my breastfed baby having cows milk protein/ soya allergy and i found that the barista oatly or m and s oat milk is good. They still split a little though but tasted good and didn’t curdle.

RestingGrinchFace · 13/12/2017 13:37

Oatly barista never curdles. Also tastes much better with coffee than soya.

I think the key with (fresh, not cupboard) soya milk is to put the milk in the cup first for tea and coffee, so for instant coffee I make it in a jug then pour it on top of the milk in the cup. Oatly barista is the best though but can be hard to find depending where you live.
