Cornwall recommendations for just the DCs and me please

Anyone? I wont bore you with the story but I've now just found out that DH wont be joining us on our summer holiday (I wondered why he wasn't pushing me to book something) and so i have decided I'd like to take the DCs to Cornwall.

Can anyone recommend somewhere please? I think as it will be just me that I don't want to rent a house but would prefer a hotel or something where I can get some adult conversation . DCs are 9 and 5.

What about a youth hostel?

We just stayed at Exeter YHA(I know thats Devon but you know...) and we met lots of people with other kds to play with, adults to chat with ec. We could cook ourseves, have takaway, buy cheap meals in house or eat out. Also there is a lounge and play areas so you don;t have to be in hotel room if rainy.....

Also cheap so more money to spend on icecream...

Mayeb not your cup of tea but we quite fancid it.

thanks mumblecrumble, I wish I'd seen you posting earlier (I've got so many on the go at the moment and this thread went off my radar). I would have considered it (never thought of it before by why not??) but now I've booked somewhere else.
Glad you had fun though. And I might check out if there are any on the route home as I plan on doing the full 5/6 hours drive on the way there in one go but am thinking about maybe breaking up the homeward journey.
