Will be there for a Sat - what can we do with our 5 year olds - is there a boat trip perhaps? Is the Castle worth a visit or will our 5yr old be bored!

the castle is very expensive so probably not worth it with a 5yrold.

11am outside the castle they'll see changing of the guard. get there early so you get to see.

yes there are boat trips and further down from where you get the boats is a childrens playground to run some energy off.

across from the castle behind the town hall is The Crooked HOuse tea shop. It is crooked! my dcs loved looking at that one.

my dcs were also very impressed with the toy department in Daniels. They've never been to toys r us so it was like christmas!

There is Alexandra Gardens - a sort of park along the river with the Great Wheel in it. Also some other kiddie type attractions, small rides etc. Not sure when they are all open, best to check.

Windsor Great Park is lovely for walks, get some great views of the castle.

Slightly further afield is Virginia Water and Saville Gardens - there is a really nice (free) small kiddie playground near Saville Gardens too.

No mention of Bachelors Acre yet... so I'll mention it. The play area has recently been revamped. It can be found a short walk from the highstreet.
