Hi some family are going to CP for a week from the 11th, we were hoping to join them but all there is available is over £700 for a w/end, way out of our budget. Anyone know of anything close to CP and can we still spend a day there? Thanks.

st katherines lodge we've stayed here. its right on the edge of the longleat estate. beautiful place and sleeps 6. It;s also completly toddler friendly. I suspect that it will be full booked but when I tried to book it they gave me a list of the up to date vacancies co-ordinator who was able to find me something in budget. much much more helpful than tourist information.

We stayed here about five years ago. Lovely accommodation and well equipped. Also nice woods to walk/cycle in.

May be a bit late too, but we've just come back from Moorleaze about 15 mins from Longleat. Nice 2 or 3 bed self catering - indoor pool on site, plus playroom and small outdoor climbing frame. Very reasonable and lovely owners.

We stayed at coolfarm in the family room (google longleat cottages) was vair nice though the owner was a bit stingy on the teabags.
