girls weekend in Dublin - any recommendations as to where to stay please?

One of our party has had a quick look and priced up Dublin Citi Hotel but we do usually like to have a room each (rather than share) and this will work out quite expensive. Plus there are hardly any photos of the rooms on the website and none at all of the bathrooms and this always makes me a tad nervous that they are going to be really small.

Any recommendations gratefully received for hotels or apartments or similar.

TIA

Drury's Court Hotel is ok, bathrooms were nice and rooms were a good size. The location was the best thing in that it was 2 minutes off Grafton Street (St Stephen's Green end)so we just walked everywhere.

If you wanted to go North or South then there is a tram station very close by. HTH

thanks very much Claire2301. That looks pretty perfect. Location wise, would you expect it to be noisy into the small hours though?

We stayed there a Saturday night and there was some noise but not loads - is off grafton street by a couple of streets in reasonably quiet area. I would just ask if you can request rooms at the top/back of hotel. We were on second floor and it was not a problem.

If you'd like any other info please dont hesitate to ask - lived out there for six months as well so know some nice places.

Messer Maguires pub is good for a quick bite to eat. It has three floors with views over the Liffey to O'Connell Street. If anyone is into beer they brew their own. The floors all have differnet "feels" to them. Website is here

Following on from the Chatham Brasserie if you fancy a quick burger Captain America's is also about 5 mins away from the hotel info here

One thing to be prepared for is that it is more expensive however prices have dropped over the past two years and you can find many more deals over there now.

We stayed in The Holiday Inn a couple of weeks ago, it was very clean and quiet. About 10/15 min walk from Grafton street. Breakfast was included.
