Trying to find a cheap hotel break, last minute deal or book now?

I have just been googling hotel deals but maybe it is too early to book? I am looking for somewhere for my boyfriend's birthday next week, thurs night so the 3rd June.

Are any sites better than others for this? Ideally I'd like o find somewhere with dinner included but not had much luck so far.

Or just thought, a pub or inn might be nice, any ideas on how to find that? By the river maybe, am warming to the idea already!

ooh thank you! That is a really good site, Ihave seen a couple of good offers. How close to the last minute is it wise to leave it? I am wondering if I would get a better deal by leaving it till theday before? Too risky?
