...as it undoubtably will! What is there to do if it's cold and pouring?

Not a lot! There is A La Ronde (National Trust), the shell ceiling might be interesting for some DCs, but it's not specifically for children.

Will you have a car? If so, you could go to Escot near Honiton, lots of outdoor stuff, but also an indoor soft play place and a huge longdrop slide.

You can get the train to Exeter - the train journey itself is a good activity, as it takes you up the side of the estuary and you can look at birds/ducks/boats etc. Exeter has loads of stuff to do, underground passages, St Nicholas Priory (interactive Tudor house), childrens library, RAMM - depends on the ages of DCs really!

How about going to Crealy Country park, its only about 8 miles from Exmouth? When i lived just outside of Exeter i used to take my kids there all the time - there are a couple of good indoor bits with lots of drop slides ect, havent been in about 5 years but i think there is probably even more to do

World of Country Life in Sandy Bay. Indoor and outdoor parts but animals, soft play, go carts etc are undercover.

Perfect for 5 and 3yr olds I'd say.
