the cottages we've been to before are now not available for booking and we're looking for somewhere for me and dh and 2 football mad boys, so garden space is a must, a flat wouldn't do. we have a car so can drive if we find something a bit more inland, have stayed in Sleights before, loved it.

any help much appreciated, thanks.

This is a bit unusual but years ago we stayed in a Landmark Trust cottage which was known at the Pigsty! Lots of jokes about home from home etc. I am afraid I cant remember what the space inside and out was like apart from it being lovely and looking over RH Bay.

I stayed in one these cottages once and it was lovely: my FIL always uses them when he goes to Whitby (every August, in fact!). They have quite a number of them, so you might find one that would suit.

Stayed at Captain Cook's Haven (Hoseasons) a few years back, had a lovely holiday. A modern complex of cottages with a small pool and plenty of grassy areas.
