Anyone been there? We are looking at a week in IOW in June and had been looking at cottages but this is cheaper and there are loads o kids activities.

Plus DH and I are already calling it Gonad Pines so it seems like the place to have a memorable holiday !!!!!

I went there about 3 years ago with DH, DS and DD.
We went in the 1st week of September after the kids had gone back to school and we found it pretty quiet, no activities for the children as such, but that may be because of when we went.
Indoor pool was nice, we didn't use the outside one as it was a bit chilly.

Main negative was that it was quite a way from anywhere that we wanted to go to on the IOW so there was quite a bit of driving.

We went in August two years ago. We used the pool every morning and it was always quiet. Indoor soft play was quiet too except on the last day when it rained and we were all waiting for our ferries back. Outdoor play area wasn't very big. The chalets were lovely. We didn't do any kids' activities so can't comment on those.

We went June 2009 and had a great week. Chalet was lovely and well equipped. Downside was no washing machine or laundrette and DD1 had a very nasty leaking nappy one night! The restuarant is fine and has good cooked food but the menu is very limited so you wouldn't want to eat there more than once or twice. The pools are closed at random times for the activities so you have to check the day before or you can get the kids already and excited and then be disappointed. Didn't use the indoor soft play as we were there that really hot week and we made the most of the weather outside. AS you drive in there are lots of privately owned chalets that look qute rough and like garages and Dh was freaking out but ours was lovely so that was Ok.
We called it Bernard Pines BTW!
