Please can anyone suggest nice place to stay in or near Ipswich?

Hi.I am looking for somewhere to stay with DH and 2 toddlers for one night. Can be somewhere quaint or a chain (and if a chain if it has a swimming pool even better). Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks

we lived just outside needham market which is about 8 miles from Ipswich, just off A14. Needham market has good market town services and has a fab country park with play equipment for the children. There is a nice pool i nthe leisure centre with added soft play centre in nearby Stowmarket or in Ipswich itself there's a public pool.

We have started staying in Holiday Inn's whilst doing nights away. All the ones we have been too have been lovely and good for children = here is the Ipswich one.

Id be wary of The Limes as the company who owns it is in administration! I used to work there years ago for the current owners!!
