We are going to spend a weekend with my brother and sister-in-law in a self-catering appartment in Lancaster Gate. Any recommendations for nice, affordable restaurants? My dsil has moderate mobility issues.
We would especially like a recommendation for a place to have a proper English afternoon tea.

Orangery (kensington gardens) for tea - can be a bit snooty though(esp when busy) Try Fortnum & Masons (get a taxi - will be about £5-7)
Royal China on Queensway (very yummy chinese)
Halepi - greek (very popular)
Go for a drink in the gardens of the Halpen Hotel (very nice in the summer)
Westbourne Grove has some nice places - Indian, Chinese, Tapas... see what looks good.

And of the weather is nice, got to M&S in Whiteleys shopping mall and have a picnic in tHyde Park/Ken Gardens or Holland park.
