Anyone know a nice hotel near the Royal Albert Hall?

I've been looking on laterooms.com but I'm starting to find it overwhelming!

It's just for one night and the budget is up to about £150. I don't want uncomfortably fancy, but i do want it to be more than a travelodge.

Any recommendations?

Not in the middle of a park, its on the edge of the park and Kensington, loads of hotels round there!

The Gore looks nice, is v close and at starts at £135

ok it is on t he edeg of a park,. not the middle, but it means there are only hotels, restaurants etc one one side of it rather than surrounding it, iyswim.
I used to sing there a fair bit and used to really struggle to find places to eat close enough to nip out and back between rehearsal and performance.

But its not that bad a walk from Notting hill gate. Even quicker in a taxi.
High Street Kensington is only a couple of minutes along the road.

Spent a lot of time on High Street with DS as a new bornjust to get out of the house!

I stayed at the Best Western, called John Howard something, on saturday night. Best prices if you book in advance, search online for best prices. It was about a 2 min walk from the albert hall, not too fancy but nice big rooms and comfy beds!
