Anyone know of any CHEAP hotels near Alton Towers

Hi

I've been looking for hotels near Alton Towers that are reasonably priced and have so far found the Premier Inn to be the best priced at £58 for two nights.

We will have a 2 year old and (hopefully) 6 week old by then so it needs to be child friendly and we are coming from the north east though don't mind going further South if we need to.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Tried Expedia but it said we exceeded the max. adults based upon 2 adults and 2 children for most of the hotels they had on the list .

Good tip on the roads though, forgot how busy they can get and slow.

I would recommend the Premier Inn in Uttoxeter, which is about 6 miles from Alton Towers, we always stay there and it's perfect for our needs.... although as my DC are now 15 and 13, not sure how much longer they will allow all four of us in one room! I think there is also a Travel Lodge in that area.

We have also, in the past, stayed in the on-site hotels, but they're not that great and VERY overpriced IMO.
