Hi
I need to find a nice place to stay in the North Yorks area for a couple of nights in August - going to a wedding in Northumberland and want a stop-over 2/3 of the way up the A1.
It'll be me, DH, DS1 (age 3) and DS2 (age 4 months) so ideally we want somewhere (small hotel, inn or pub with rooms) that has:
A family room / suite
A restaurant in same building so we can take baby monitor downstairs while we eat and leave DSs in bedroom
Family friendly atmosphere
and is in a nice location, so ideally in Ripon, York or Richmond, or a somewhere rural and pretty but near the A1 like Masham.
If you know of anywhere and can recommend it I'd be very grateful for all tips / thoughts.
