Family friendly places to eat in Glasgow.

We're off to Glasgow for a weekend and I'm looking for good but reasonable places to go with a 6 year old. Plus his dad who is going under sufferrance. Saturday is sorted but Friday evening needs plans.

I don't want to end up plumping for the usual big chains (MaccyDs Pizzahut etc) Somewhere that does food and beer would be really great.

Advice appreciated Thanks

There's Darcy's in Princes Square that does nice adult and good a kids menu.

If DC gets bored they can always run about in the bit downstairs where you can keep an eye on him while indulging in a beer.

If you like pizza and pasta Gambrino Pizzaria is good on Great Western Road, open from 5.30pm and you can view the menu on-line. Or, try one of the Sarti restaurants, there are three of them in town, again great italian food and very family friendly, not at all chain-like.

Most places (apart from All Bar One) are pretty family friendly. Soho (pasta and pizza) in Miller St in City Centre is good, and so is Wagamama. Enjoy yourselves.
