baby friendly place to stop on M5/4

We're going to be driving from Cornwall to London in a week and half with our 10 month old. Can anybody recommend any baby friendly places to stop where he can crawl around on the M5 and M4 route please? The service stations we've always stopped at are so grotty so don't mind leaving the motorway if it's not too far. Thanks

I don't have any specific suggestions, but we use the National Trust instead of service stations. On the way to Cornwall over the years we've stopped in at Lanhydrock, Killerton and Castle Drogo, but you'd probably want to get further away from home. The cafes are usually pretty family-friendly.

Just found this link - Dyrham Park any good?

Portishead just off j19 of m5 is nice. Has a couple of nice cafes, including a Brewers fayre, food not great but have a soft play area with a section for babies.

Just off J17 of the M5 is The Mall at Cribbs Causeway. Its a large shopping centre and has a nice food court and a soft play creche type thing where your little one can have a play.
