Getting confused booking Centreparcs activities - has anyone been that can advise??

Have been looking at the activities to book for our Centreparcs (first time!) hol coming up.
I have a couple of problems though - first one is that the adult type activities dont fit in with kids clubs! Was looking to book the 3 hr spa session for 2 as a treat as its on offer but they all run from 3-6pm and the kids club is all 2-5pm for pm sessions - is this just bad luck for the week we are going or are not actually supposed to be able to match up the two??

Also bike hire is confusing me - we have 2 children, one is 2yr so can fit in the baby seat, which says suitable for 12-48 months. Other DC is 4.5yrs so is too big for baby seat. The next step up is a tag a long bike to attach to adult one but says only to be hired for 5yr and over!!
There is an option of hiring a childs bike age 3-5yr but DS cant ride without stabilisers and even if we could get some stabilisers and fit them on the hire bike, the rest of us may as well walk at the speed he will be going!!!
Shall I hire tag a long anyway seeing as he is tall for his age and hope they dont question his age??

Sorry for long post and thanks for reading!!!

bikes - can you not get a trailer and cram both kids in it?

have not used kids club as we go with grandparents - I would be tempted to ring and clarify

re the kids club and spa, whenever we have gone there has been some kind of offer on when you book both spa and kids club, worth phoning and checking. Does seem strange that the session times dont match up

re the bikes, agree with mrs badger, we have hired a little trailer several times which comes attached to an adult bike, i have seen trailers with 2 kids in and my dd age 4.5 would still fit.

All the younger kids bikes come with stabilisers already attached on.

Yes, there is a special offer with the spa / kids club - you get slightly less time in the spa but you get some money off. Give them a call to book and they will sort it out, it's easier than trying to do it on the website. They were very helpful when I phoned up.

if the child can't use a bike without stabilisers you can't really use a tag along, they need to be able to balance, will have to have his own bike with stabilisers, or maybe this could be the holiday he learns without??!

Fel1x · 16/03/2010 14:34

no, he really cant ride without stabilisers - he can pedal but not balance well enough.
Does that really mean he cant use a tag a long?? I thought it was attached to big bike so didnt need to balance, just pedal??
Bugger, have ordered tag a long!!
Maybe will be able to change to trailer for them both if I call up.

Thanks for answers re kids club, I am going to call and check

Tag a longs are fine for kids who can't ride without stabilisers. Not sure which parc you were at but Whinfell is very hilly and I wouldn't have fancied pulling two kids in a trailer... We took our own bikes and tailgators (which attach the child's own bike to an adult bike) and DS was only 3.5 and was fine on that. i doubt you'd be asked for proof of age, especially as he's close to 5, but as we took our own i've no experience of that.

Hulababy · 16/03/2010 16:32

You can try when you get there and always swap it for a trailer at the time.

Even though 7y. dd can cycle at Whinfell we hire a tag along for her as it is so hilly and she wasn't very confident when we went a year ago. The tag along meant we could go further and quicker.
