Hello, this is my first time on Mumsnet Talk and i am after your advice opinions please. I live on a farm and have an idea to convert two old stone barns we have into potentially fully serviced holiday accommodation, think almost nice chalet maid?

There would be 3 units each with 3-4 en-suite bedrooms and separate living areas and all the catering would be done in the main barn using local ingredients etc. So you could have 3 families with own space but coming together for meals or you could let out the rooms individually like a small hotel? The chalet maid type experience appeals to me as i know that a self catering holiday with 2 young children can be like being at home but harder!

I have also thought we could use the accommodation for short courses/retreats/boot camps?

Anyway would love to know what you think, we are based in the northumberland near to fab beaches and Hoggwarts (Alnwick Castle).

Look forward to hearing from you all. X

That sounds lovely. Let me know if you get it going and, if I can ever afford it, I'll be there!

Good luck. x
