Park Resorts with no car (and no partner) am I mad?

Want a cheap beach holiday with ds (5). It's just me and him (and no car) so thought a Park Resorts might work, either California Cliffs (norfolk) or Camber Sands (Sussex.) Park resorts come to mind mainly from entertainment point of view. What is it like in the evening, all very grown up? - will we be cowering in our caravan not daring to go out? Also thought a holiday park might be good in case weather is awful. Or should we just go for accomodation in a largeish seaside town (Bournemouth maybe)
What do people think?

i have done haven/hoseasons hols alone with dc's before, and they were much better than staying in hotel/b and b, as lots of other families and single parents around.Entertainment not very grown up but you and your ds will have a great time. I would go to the one that is easiest to get to transport wise , let your ds join in with all the activities on offer, open a bottle of wine and have a great time.
