Edinburgh apartments suitable for a baby?

We want to spend a few days in Edinburgh in late June / early July as a family trip. It would be 3 couples plus our 1 yo DS. Can anybody recommend any apartments in Edinburgh, either 3 beds or maybe 2 bedroom apartments that we could book 2 of, that are close to the centre?

We've stayed here, great, 10 minute walk to Princes Street, lovely, clean, well equipped apartment with secure parking.

We (me, my DH, my in-laws and our 2 year old DS) stayed at the Knight Residence located in the Edinburgh's old town, minutes from Edinburgh Castle. Very friendly staff, clean and modern facilities, secure parking. Extra nice touch is the welcome breakfast pack and package for baby. I think they have 3 bedroom apartments available. There are some lap dancing bars nearby but not a problem.

You can read lots of positive reviews on the Knight Residence.

Have fun! Edinburgh is beautiful!

Thanks hmmSleep and saikokitten, very kind. I'll check those out. I love Edinburgh but last went before having DS and when I was happy to sleep in a cheap hotel room with no facilities, so it's a bit different now.

The Holyrood Aparthotel is great 2 bedroom apartments with sofa beds in the living room 5 mins from the castle.

Have stayed in holyrood aparthotel too, was good but preferred the first apartment I mentioned, however this might be because I lived near there for 8 years so have biased fond memories of the area!

In fact I've just discovered this my old flat! The people who bought it from us now rent it out, it's gorgeous (even if I do say so myself) and really central, but probably not big enough for what you need. I'm actually rather sad to see it .

Try Fountain Court apartments. Maybe a bit pricey for when you want to go but worth a look. I stayed in the Grove court one on my own and it was lovely, a real home from home!

hmmSleep I am consumed with jealously. Would love to live in Edinburgh and the flat looks gorgeous. It probably is not quite big enough for this visit but I'll keep it in mind for the future.

Thanks lizcat and snowykitten (hmm, a strong cat/kitten presence on this thread - excellent ) for those too. I'm just starting to get quotes etc so will take a look at them all.

You're welcome, EightiesChick. I know, it's different travelling with a little one.

hmmSleep - the flat is gorgeous! I will definitely keep in mind for the future too as we'd love to go back to Edinburgh.

Have stayed at these apartments twice, really good and a 10 minute walk to Princes Street.
