Travelling From Surrey To North Wales Via M4.....Need places to stop off on route...HELP!!!

We are going to North Wales (Borth) In April. From Surrey (Epsom) via the m4 and through the brecon beacons. With 5 kids it's going to be a long journey

So can anyone help me with places to stop off on route???

Personally, I wouldn't go that way - it can be v v slow through the Brecons. I'd do M40, M42, M5 to Worcester, and then the A44. Stop at Bicester outlet village for a leg stretch and drinks, then lunch in Worcester, then maybe another stop around Llandridnod Wells if you need it.

Dh won't budge on the route he loves driving and has the actual routeplanned so I daren't argue it lol....

So really need places between surrey and the start of wales??

How often do you want to stop, and how far off the motorway will you go ?

Just before you get to the welsh border, Cribbs Causeway (you turn off onto the M5 for one junction) is a great place to stop - its a mall with restaurants, nice baby changing in John Lewis, and a softplay if your kids are that age

Youngest two are 3 and 6 so will need to stop every 2 hours minimum. He will probably come off motorway a bit

Newbury might be a bit soon for your first stop, but small town, reasonable parking large park just behind the high street.
