We are going there next weekend and I like Morfa Nefyn but was just wondering which other beaches are equally lovely or better!

Thanks.

Newborough is lovely, or Red Wharfe Bay for the restaurant there!

Red Wharfe and Newborough are on Anglessey. How about Harlech in Snowdonia national park itself or Penllech or Whistling Sands on the Lyyn peninsula. Penllech is unspoilt and beautiful and only a stones throw away from Morfa Nefyn so you can enjoy a drink at the Ty Coch inn too! Can I come with you lol?

I loved Llanbedrog beach when I was younger (haven't been there for nearly 25 years though).

BikeRunSki · 25/01/2010 20:07

I second Newborough.

hotpotmama · 25/01/2010 21:16

We aren't far from Newborough as staying a few miles out of caernarfon, or Penllech and I like the idea of being close to the Ty Coch, I will always remember that pub for its mussels in garlic, not that I had them, just they smelled lovely!

Notalone, only if you get the beers in .

Llanbedrog, think I may have been there a few years ago, does it have a little cafe on it and a steepish road to get to it, noah?

Beers are my favourite lol. Will a pint do ya?!

Penllech also has free parking and a pretty walk to access the beach next to a small waterfall. Newborough is beautiful too though with its pine forest behind it. You really are spoilt for choice!

hotpotmama · 27/01/2010 19:50

Yes we are as long as it doesn't snow! Will check out where Penllech is again, see if its close.

A pint is fine, can't imagine we'll be drinking it outside tho like we did last time!
