Which Center Parcs should we go to - Whinfell or Sherwood

Have done a search of old threads but can't get a clear picture - and as CP novices we are a little nervous! Dh keen to go to Sherwood and I don't mind if we go there or Whinfell.

We've got a v lively ds who will be 3.4 when we go. Want to have plenty for him to do but at same time dh and I are keen for it to be relaxing for us as well. We are planning on taking our bikes, and going swimming lots, but I'd like at least a little opportunity for wine where poss!

We are in Scotland so would be a longer drive to Sherwood obviously but dh does not mind the drive as he drives far afield with work.

Thanks for any advice

Oh, and any advice re best accomodation e.g. woodland lodge would be fab too!

They are both really nice.
I thought the accommodation was nicer at Whinfell.
The pool is bigger at Sherwood.
The lake is bigger and prettier at Whinfel.

HAvent been to either in last 5 yrs.
We had a Woodland lodge in Longleaat a few months back and it was very nice.

Dp works for CP, Winfell and Sherwood are the best 2 imo so either would be good... I like to stay in a 3 bed executive lodgebecause you each get an on suite and a lovley rainfall shower... But if you really really wanted to push the boat out the 4 bed has a games room in it.

Oh thanks v much, still undecided so far though! They both have good points!
Though we won't be able to push the boat out as far as games rooms!

Sherwood is lovely! Quite big and lots to do. We've only stayed in a Comfort Plus, and they are nice, so any villa you stay in will be good. They refurbished a lot of them not too long ago, so are a vast improvement on when I first went.

If you're driving from Scotland then I'd say go for Whinfell then you're more likely to be able to arrive early and avoid the massive queues.
