want to go in spring (term time - in time for the lambs) have ds1 3.6 and ds2 1.1. I have found loads, but would prefer to go on recommendations. DH will only go somewhere that has a modern interior (hes a snob!) we live in the south east, dont want it to be too far. Dont want to go far side of cornwall as will be a whole day in the car which we really dont want!

Anyone? Before i book?

Hi

As an alternative and slightly nearer to home, have you thought about:

Laurel Farm, Carlingcott, Avon, West Country - it is a smallholding with chickens, sheep and pigs with 2 bedrooms

or Lois Farm Country Cottages, Horsington, Somerset, West Country

Alternatively a couple of others on the nearer side of Cornwall would be:
Coombe Mill, St Breward, Cornwall - they also do tractor rides for the kids and have a pool
Mayrose Farm Holiday Cottages, Helstone, Cornwall - they also have a pool to keep the kids occupied.

Hope this helps
Lucilla

thanks for those, coombe mill and one of the others are just too far west for us sadly

Just got back from a week at Coombe Mill Farm in Cornwall.. thoroughly recommend it if you can make it down there! My three year old had such a fantasic time, there were daily tractor rides where the children can feed all the animals (he loved the donkeys best!!) Perfect family break away!
