Would ideally like it to be near a beach. We need 4 bedrooms. Thanks!

Try Independent Cottages or Holiday Rentals or possibly Big Cottages

I advertise with all of these and have found that they have a massive selection (and plenty by the sea!!)

Try Wringworthy cottages just over the border in Cornwall 20 minutes from Devon. Their largest cottage has 4 bedrooms - great for kids and all the baby/toddler stuff is free of charge. Check out the farm animals - the chickens are just wandering around. They are near Looe.

Have stayed here which was nice, v close to the beach(es) and has 6 bedrooms. Just over the border into Cornwall but good location for kids.

blue chip vacations have loads of lvoely places. we holidayed with my sister and her family twice with them, both time in paignton near the park. once in next door apartments and the other in a massive 6 bed room house. loads to do around the area too.
