Where can you go in UK with kids for a Christmas break?

Need hotel which is child friendly and which does not want to charge £1500 per person for 3 nights (I am not kidding - just seen this on a site!). Any ideas? Thanks

Wringworthy cottages in Cornwall are self catering - not quite the hotel break you were looking for but worth a try as they are very child friendly.
