Travelling to London (East Dulwich to be exact) from Manchester for half term with a 4.5 month baby & a nearly 3 yr old and am in need of recommendations of places to stop where we can eat but also stretch legs and see something interesting or even just some playing. Am intending to take M6 - M1 route. Please help. Ta.

Just as easy to go out on the M40 to the M6. We lived in Nunhead and did the journery often. We always changed drivers ar Warwick serices J15 M40. it is half way. Coincidentally we now live near J15!!! So Look up Hatton World - should cover all options. Likewise Warick town itself is a nice stop off - although a small market town it has plenty of eating options and a great park - St Nicholas', HTH

Was going to suggest Hatton World myself Otherwise, a little further south is Bicester - you can go to the outlet village and then just about next door is Bicester Vaenue which has several shops, a large garden centre, soft play area, etc. The food is much better here than at Hatton too (like Hatton, but have found the food to be terrible)
