Center Parcs Elveden Forest - where to stay with toddler?

Hi, i'm thinking of booking a christmas break at Elveden Forest, but not sure where on the park i should stay. I'm being given options to pay £15 for outer area or £30 for middle area.

A lot of the lodges look like they are by a lake - are they fenced off? I have a very inquisitive 18 month old who would run as far away from us as he could, so just wanted advice as whether it's better to stay clear from these lakes or if it's better to be as close to the facilities as possible?

Thank you for your advice!

pay the £30, esp if he likes to walk, as otheriwse it is a long haul in the cold with a pushchair draped in swimming things

the paths are fenced but there is direct access to the lakes form the back patios of many of the villas so use your brain re letting him out
