Anyone been to a nice cottage in the Gower Peninsular?

For September with a one year old? Just thought I'd see if there was someone out there who'd recommend a particular place...

We usually go to North Wales but fancied a change this time.

Is it just the three of you going?

We stayed here www.the-gower.com/self-catering/glenview/glenviewcottage.htm last year when DD was just over 1 year old. It's a lovely cottage, joined onto the owner's cottage with access to their garden and toys. The only negative for us was the hard tiled floor, not great for someone learning to walk! We put down our picnic rugs to make it a bit softer.

It's in Reynoldston which is in the centre of the Gower, so handy for most places, although a drive to the beaches. There's a good pub opposite and a small village store round the corner. Also Kate, the owner makes the yummiest brownies!

You can search for other cottages on that website, all seem good.

Just the three of us for most of the week; another couple might come for the weekend.
DD is going to be just over one too and is learning to walk too so it sounds like we're going to be quite similar to you!

Hmm, I bet most places have hard floors.

The National Trust I think has a property in the most amazing location above Rhosilli. Am off out now but I'll see if I can link to it later. It has the most spectacular views but booked way, way in advance.

I know the house you're talking about llareggub, must be amazing to stay there if there's a group of you going. I looked into it a few months ago and it was booked into 2010.
