Anyone been ? We are staying 2 nights there next week with DS's 6 and 2. Just wondered if anyone had been....Never stayed in a youth hostel before and just wondered if you need to take sleeping bags etc? Also any experience of the restaurant/cafe - do we need to book ? Thanks Louise

My ds went with school and wants us to go back as a family. The food is meant to be very good according to the children and teachers but not sure about booking.Might be worth looking at this thread.I'd be interested to know what you think of it as we go at some point as well.

You don't need to take a sleeping bag (whether warm or sheet type). All bedding is provided. I've not stayed there, but have stayed at several other YHAs with family.

I used to stay there as a kid and loved loved loved it! Was my fave youth hostel and was always dragging parents back there.
