Places to eat en route to Plymouth, Sunday evening

we're taking the overnight Plymouth-Roscoff ferry on Sunday evening, and it'll be too late to eat on the ferry as earliest boarding is 10pm. Would welcome suggestions for places to eat either in Plymouth not taking us too far out of the way from the ferry port or any where outside Plymouth on the way in (will be coming from the M5). Pub type food would be ideal.
Thanks

DH saying perhaps on or just off the A38, anywhere after about Ivybridge.

that would be plymouth then! Not much after Ivybridge!

Barbican leisure park has old orleqns - kids eat free! a Nandos, frankie an bennys or bowling alley which does food and would give you something to do with sprogs while you wait
