Devils Bridge is worth a trip (depending on the age of your kids)

We went on a wet day and stayed relatively dry as it's all in forestry.

You can get the steam railway from Aber too.

Will you have a car? You can drive to the Centre for Alternative Technology in Mac - thats very good and if you want to make a day of it then theres some sort of King Arthur experience there too though I've never been...

Here? Went here briefly a couple of weeks ago after the pre-school summer trip to Devil's Bridge on the steam train. It was raining but I did think it was a lovely place to visit if we get some good weather. There are some pleasant beaches hereabouts - Ynyslas is meant to be nice (though I've not been yet).

I'm considering here too as MIL, SIL and DN are coming down next week and we'll need somewhere to take them. I've not been there before so can't tell you if it's any good!

Aberaeron is always nice for a trip - there's a cafe selling lovely honey ice-cream on the harbourside and there are a couple of nice shops.

We were in that area of Wales last year.

Devil's Bridge was great fun, although I swear my legs are still aching .

Loads of narrow gauge railways - always good to fill a couple of hours.

CAT was fun.

King Arthur experience was very average, and the adjoining story maze was so utterly crap that dh demanded his money back .

What about castles? Plenty of those around.
