London Hotel- any reccomendations?

Tried to get abroad but that has gone down the drain. 2 Adults 2 children would like to be close to shops/ attractions any help would be greatly appreciated. x

I live in London so dont normally stay in hotels here. But for location and good value
try the Travelodge Covent Garden. If booking ask for the one on High Holborn it looks nicer from outside. Its well located for Covent Garden and Theatreland and a stroll to Regent & Oxford Streets.

I love the City Inn Westminster. It's not advertised as a family hotel and it's a bit off the beaten track, but it's great value for money, lovely rooms, impeccable service and it's next door to the Tate Britain.

It's the only place I stay in London.
