anyone with knowledge of Aberdeenshire hotels? sorry but rather vague....

We stayed in a hotel to the west of Peterculter a few years back, it was either a Hilton, MacDonald or Marriott hotel but it doesn't seem to be owned by any of these hotel groups any more. It was a countyt house hotel type of place that I'm sure also had time share properties. We wamt to stay there again - does anyone know where I'm talking about?

ah! I found it, it is the Hilton Craigendarroch which is classed as Ballater rather than Aberdeenshire.
