What could we do in Salcombe this weekend?

Never been, and never thought of going until dh suggested we go and meet the IL's who are down there in their caravan.

Anyone any recommendations

Very pretty, but will be a bit busy! Lots of beachy things to do. Good cafes/ restaurants etc, and quite a few shops. Used to a fishing village, now mainly second homes and boaty folk. I grew up and lived near there (kingsbridge) for 20 odd years and folks still live there

Get the ferry across the estuary to the best beaches at East Portlemouth.

Visit Overbecks Garden and walk around the coast to Starehole Bay.

Totnes and dartmouth are great small market towns to visit.

Pennywell farm - usual kiddy farm thing but a few miles away.....
