Piccadiily Line / district line tube interchange question

I need to advise someone travelling with loads of kids and baggage where to change from the Piccadilly line (from H'row) to Victoria. At which stations can you just walk across the platform rather than negotiate tunnels and escalators?

thanks!

I have a feeling that you can just cross the platform at Barons Court -- you should be able to check on the Transport For London website which stations have step-free interchange, I think.

London Travel Information (020 7222 1234) might be able to help, too.

I haven't lived in west London for many years so my memory of that end of town is a little hazy!

Yes you definitely can just cross the platform at Baron's Court, and it is nice being in the open air too :-)

X-posted, but might be a useful link anyway -- map to step-free interchange and access here which confirms that your friend can change at BC.

Thank you!

do it at h'smith and barons court, think h'smith is marginally better as trains tend to wait for each other to pick up passengers iyswim

The only disdvantage of BC is that if you are short of time it is the "wrong" side of Earls Court so you could have ab it of a wait for a District line train. Gloucester Road is a lift and some stairs, never change at South Ken.
