My idea of a perfect day out would be to go somewhere picturesque, family friendly (but not overrun by kids, IYKWIM) where we could have a picnic (or a yummy pub lunch), maybe see some animals and generally let the kiddies run around in the sunshine. We live in Surrey so anywhere within 1.5 hours of Cobham/Esher would be great. Does anyone have any suggestions?
We're not members of National Trust but have been thinking about joining so NT places are an option.
