Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find anything on the previous threads! We are planning on taking our new baby (she will be 4 weeks old) up North to visit the grandparents - how long is it safe for her to stay in her car seat? I've read various bits of advice that say between 1 and 2 hours, and would like to hear what you think?

Journey will be between 4 and 5 hours in total...

Thanks in advance!

I'd probably break the trip half way for a feed, change and stretch. I certainly wouldn't be disturbing my baby every hour. Chances are she will sleep the whole way with a good feed half way through.

I would stop at least once as well although chance are your DD will have other ideas and you will have to stop more often that that!!

Thanks both of you very much indeed! This is reassuring.

Cheers!
