YHA in Cornwall with family rooms... pref not just 2x bunks!

Am taking my mother down to visit rellies in Perranporth sometime in the next couple of months. Would like a reasonable family room in a YHA not a million miles away but I don't know any of the hostels there any more as they've all changed since I YHA'ed back in 1980! Whilst a 'family bunk room' MIGHT be OK I know there are some elsewhere in the country with mod cons like ensuites and cafeteria...Any like this in Cornwall? Ta

FWIW we aren't softies- just don't really want to traipse cold corridors with a tired 7 year old in search of the loo at 3am.

Lots of the yha hostels have ensuite rooms. Boscastle in Cornwall has been revamped recently, we stayed there last year, in a suite of rooms - a double bed in one room with a single above, plus 3 bunks in adjoining room, plus ensuite bathroom. Very comfy.

Many family rooms do have ensuite bathrooms but you have to check. Mostly the family rooms have bunks though, not double beds. Boscastle is the only one I know that definitely has a double bed.

Golant has a good restaurant, lots of local organic food and locally brewed beer and wine. But I don't know if it has ensuite rooms.

Portreath (not far from Perranporth) says it has en suite facilities in every room! It's 4* so should be nice.

Not sure about beds - there's a picture of a room that looks as though it has a single, a set of bunks, and a double with a bunk above it.

You could email and ask?
