The 02 is in Greenwich, the nearest place to it is HolidayInnExpress.

The mitre Hotel in Greenwich town centre is okay, about £80 for a double though. I doubt you will find anything cheaper unless you go for a B&B.

You could walk to the heart of Greenwich from the O2 but it would take about 20 minutes. There are buses though outside the door. You might be better staying somewhere else and taking the tube to North Greenwich (station is right next to the 02).

Hopefully someone with better knowledge will be along soon.

Avoid woolwich and plumstead, try to avoid east greenwich. Close to greenwich centre is prettier.
