Snowdonia - Best things to do, with a toddler in tow?

I am visiting Snowdonia National Park in mid-May. What would be good things to do? There are several steam/diesel railways, electric mountain (though I note the tour is not suitable for toddlers).
Can you suggest things that should not be missed.

Also, anyone know of any discounts available for the Snowdon Mountain Railway?

try this place - www.greenwoodforestpark.co.uk

or this - not been there myself but my nieces love it: www.gypsywood.co.uk/

i wouldn't do the electric mountain with a toddler, but you could do the mountain railway or just get the train around Padarn Lake (in Llanberis) which is a lot cheaper but obviously you don't get the views! the train up the mountain might be a bit long for a toddler? (2.5 hours round trip)

or there's this one which is fairly new & I haven't got round to doing it yet, but it's meant to be nice

There's a nice child friendly cafe in Brynrefail (top end of the lake) called Y Caban www.caban-cyf.org/
