My friend and are are going to London for the day at half term. With 5 kids aged from 5 months to 8. We plan to walk from Paddington through Hyde Park and spend most of our time in the museums.
Our train home doesnt leave until 7.30 so we are loking for somewhere to eat to fill the time at the end of the day.

The Princess Diana memorial playpark in Hyde Park has a cafe - all seating is outdoors though. The playpark is worth a visit if you're passing through.

Food at Museums is expensive. The fourth floor at the Science Museum has space for you to eat your picnic. You will be on the 4th floor anyway, trust me!

But I can't think of anywhere immediately obvious on that route. There are some places in High Street Ken, wagamama, pizza places, but that's quite a long detour.

We ate at Giraffe, it's at the right end of Kensington, so when you walk up from the museum, turn left, past a few hotels.

It's opposite a large hotel which is next to the edge of the park, so not too far down the high street.

Are you intending to walk back to Paddington? It is quite a long walk at the end of the day in the dark. Recommend you go towards High St Kensington where there are plenty of restaurants and get tube back to Paddington from there.

Oh, the food at the science museum is expensive and gross! However, if go across the road to the V & A the food is lovely
