West coast of Scotland

Hi folks. Does anyone have any good suggestions for somewhere nice on the west coast maybe about an hour/hour and a half from Glasgow?

Although I am in scotland I have never explored that part of the world and would love to do it this summer since we are having a UK year

Not sure how far up from Glasgow it is but Glenelg is beautiful. I stayed there in a holiday cottage. I saw otters playing on the lawn, saw porpoises and took the ferry over to the Isle of Skye - well worth a visit too.
Fantastic spot.

Oh - and a bit further is Applecross - well worth a visit for The Applecross Inn - their fish and seafood menu is to die for.
