West coast of Scotland

Hi folks. Does anyone have any good suggestions for somewhere nice on the west coast maybe about an hour/hour and a half from Glasgow?

Although I am in scotland I have never explored that part of the world and would love to do it this summer since we are having a UK year

What sort of holiday do you want? We rented an entire island with a 3 bed house on it last year, could only get to it by boat etc, and it was lovely. Just south of Oban I think.
