Is there such a thing as cheap accommodation in York city centre?

We have just booked train tickets to York and will be staying overnight on Sat 7th Feb.

We are going to the Railway Museum and would like to wander around the centre, and are looking for something preferably within walking distance so that we don't have to bother taking a booster seat for 3yo DS. [lazy arse]

Most of the stuff we can find on the tourist website is for 2 nights only.

Can anyone recommend somewhere close by that will fit our £60ish budget or am I hopelessly out of touch with the cost of things?

As long as it's clean and not flea ridden, then we will be happy.

TIA

There is a Travelodge but I've not been to it, so don't know where it is or what it's like. Cheap though!

Wow, that was quick.

Travelodge seems to be full that night, but I am on the Ramada just now, and it's looking like room plus breakfast for £60 all in.
